Bio
Klypi, pronounced like the 90’s Virtual Office Assistant, is a recent transplant to the planet Earth, drawn by errant signals, seeking purpose, meaning, and the promise of pop stardom. What all began with the arrival of a little golden record in their tiny star system led to an obsession with Earth entertainment. The song “Johnny B Good” by Chuck Berry became Klypi’s daily obsession. “How can I make something like that?,” they asked themselves. Eventually curiosity got the better of them. They quit their job as a radioactive bean slinger, and became a roadie for the sensational intergalactic audio-visual performer Onë on their First Contact Tour, with stops at Betelgeuse, Rigel, and notably a residency at Electra, the most happening club in the Pleiades. Then came the tour’s finale in Lincoln County, Nevada, on Earth. Unfortunately, Area 51, despite its Trisolaran warehouse trappings and charming goons, turned out to be the last place any intergalactic road hand would wish to find themselves. Released of their own recognizance after a head shave, nano-chipping, and six weeks of DBT, Klypi found themselves at the edge of the city-state of Angels, with naught but an Apple computer, beat machine, and neat stack of pretty green paper. Earth was nothing like they thought it would be — but the promise of the golden record was real - and just a bus ride away. Pop stardom - life in the most happening place in the local group. The chance to shatter old icons. The chance for Klypi to make their place among the stars. So they chartered their way out of the desert, and toward the bright city, the center of the universe.
