Statement
My work engages with themes of gender, love, class, and the American Dream through music, songwriting, performance, graphic design, technology, painting, and fashion. Through these varied modes of making, I aim to see from multiple perspectives the ways we navigate and construct meaning in the world, and to question what it means to be a generalist rather than a specialist—especially within an increasingly isolated and fragmented culture.
Through my musical persona Klypi, I investicate how an extraterrestrial might perceive human behavior, asking what is considered normal or fair, and why we hold the beliefs that we do.
